Guy Boyd (1923-1988)

Guy Martin à Beckett Boyd 

One of Australian's most significant sculptors and a member of the Boyd artistic family. He won a Churchill Fellowship (1968) and held major exhibitions in all Australian capital cities and in London, Montreal, Chicago and New York.

His work is held in the private and public institutions the National Gallery of Australia, National Gallery of Victoria, Art Gallery of New South Wales, Queensland Art Gallery | Gallery of Modern Art (QAGOMA), and many more public collections.

Key Public Commissions: In addition to gallery collections, his large-scale sculptures are visible in several public spaces: Australian Institute of Sport (Canberra), Melbourne and Sydney International Airports, St Andrew’s Anglican Church (Brighton).

Jamie Boyd (1948-2025) Jamie Patrick Boyd

Distinguished Australian painter, sculptor, and printmaker who masterfully bridged the gap between European impressionism and the Australian landscape. The son of Arthur Boyd, Jamie was a fourth-generation member of the Boyd artistic dynasty, carving out an international reputation for his unique artistic work. 

International Career: Based primarily in London for over 60 years, he exhibited globally, including major shows in London, Florence, Amsterdam, Melbourne, Brisbane, Bowral, and Germany.

Lenore Boyd  (born 1953)

Lenore Boyd is a prominent Australian figurative sculptor and a fourth-generation member of the Boyd artistic dynasty. As the daughter and former apprentice of Guy Boyd, she has carried forward the family’s legacy in sculpture, specialising in bronze works that celebrate the beauty and fluid movement of the human form. Lenore has completed numerous commissions.

Family Heritage: The daughter of Phyllis and Guy Boyd, Lenore was raised in the highly creative environment of the Boyd family, which includes her uncles Arthur Boyd and David Boyd.

Gankhuyang Dolgordorj

Gankhuyag Dolgordorj is a Mongolian artist known for his unique technique that combines canvas, sand, stone, lime, and oils has been exhibiting in Mongolia, Hong Kong and Australia in 2015.

'Mongolia Interpreted' exhibition was facilitated by Jan Meek former Senior Advisor at the NGA and John McDonald, an art critic for the Sydney Morning Herald. The exhibition was curated by international art exhibition coordinator Khaliun Enkhjargal.

Bogdan Fialkowski

The roots of Fialkowski works are in Expressionism and New Figuration. His paintings reflect the postmodern era, and its characteristic concerns and attitudes capture the artist's emotional depth and his feeling for natural aspects of life.

Fialkowski completed Master’s Degree in 1979 from the Academy of Fine Arts in Poznan in Poland. He worked on restoration of 17th and 18th century altarpieces throughout Churches in Poland and Italy and has exhibited extensively in Europe and Australia.

Stephen Glassborow

A leading contemporary sculptor whose work sits at the intersection of classical realism and Art Deco elegance, characterised by refined lines, geometric precision, and Gravity & Illusion. He is renowned for his mastery of bronze, a medium he uses to explore the tension between traditional figurative precision and modern abstraction. Many of his works feature figures captured in "three-dimensional trapeze acts", creating an illusion of weightlessness and levity that belies the actual density of the bronze.

Pamela Griffith (born 1943)

A highly distinguished Australian painter, and printmaker, widely regarded as a master of botanical and wildlife art. With a career spanning over five decades, she is celebrated for her technical brilliance and her ability to document the Australian wilderness with both scientific precision and a deeply poetic sensibility.

Honours & Awards: A Fellow of the Royal Art Society of New South Wales, she has won over 30 major art prizes and was awarded a Centenary Medal in 2001 for her services to Australian society and art.

A remarkable "Renaissance man" who achieved international acclaim in two entirely distinct fields: molecular biology and sculpture. After a globally significant career in genetics, he launched a second career as a sculptor in 1997, specialising in bronze. He studied in London under icons artists like Henry Moore, Barbara Hepworth, and Eduardo Paolozzi.  

Artistic Significance: In the world of science, Holliday is immortalised for discovering the Holliday Junction, a fundamental molecular structure crucial to DNA recombination. His work bridged his two worlds, such as his DNA Double Helix, which celebrates the beauty of molecular structures. His sculptures explore complex geometric and mathematical concepts, that play with spatial relationships.

His works are held in the public collections like The Royal Society London, Institute Laboratory of Molecular Biology Cambridge, Children Medical Research Institute Sydney, University of Sussex UK, Rockefeller University New York, Macquarie University Sydney.

One of Australia’s most celebrated and influential landscape painters. Renowned for his "larrikin" spirit and energetic, calligraphic style, he transformed the way Australians perceived their own environment, moving away from traditional ground-level views toward a lyrical, "all-at-once" aerial perspective. 

Major Awards: He achieved a rare "triple crown" of Australian art prizes, winning the Archibald Prize (2005) for his self-portrait Janus Faced, the Wynne Prize twice (1969, 1985), and the Sulman Prize (1989).

Arthur Boyd and the Boyd family - In 1997, Galeria Aniela Fine Art gallery and Sculpture Park had the distinct privilege of hosting the landmark ‘Best of Boyd’ exhibition. This historic event marked the first time six members of the artistic dynasty - Arthur Boyd, Guy Boyd, David Boyd, Jamie Boyd, Lenore Boyd along with Tessa Perceval exhibited together under one roof.

Comprising 100 paintings and 40 bronze sculptures, the exhibition garnered major national attention, featuring on the 
front page of the Sydney Morning Herald and on ABC TV’s Australian National News and Sunday Afternoon.

 

John Perceval - In 2000, Galeria Aniela Fine Art Gallery had the honor of holding the John Perceval Retrospective. Featuring 80 works spanning 1946 to 1999. The exhibition was a major media event, famously captured by the ABC TV National News, who flew the Australian National News crew to the gallery's & Sculpture Park by helicopter to document the opening. Exhibition Dates: August 19 – October 19, 2000.
Media Coverage: Reported by senior journalist Anne Maria Nicholson for ABC TV. Opening: Officially opened by Justin Miller Chairman of Sotheby’s Australia on August 19, 2000.

 

Charles Blackman - In 2002, Galeria Aniela Fine Art Gallery hosted a major retrospective for Charles Blackman. This landmark Blackman Retrospective, curated by Blackman Trust curator Walter Granek, gained significant national recognition and was featured on SBS TV's Art-Scream.

Historical Legacy: As of 2026, Charles Blackman (1928–2018) remains one of Australia's most beloved figurative artists, and this retrospective is a key part of his exhibition history
